Caïna Discography

Caïna is a one-man band, from the United Kingdom (Hampshire / Sussex, England) and created by Andy, known as “A” on early releases. Stylistically drawing from influences as disparate as Black and Death Metal, drone, dream-pop/shoegaze, neofolk and post-rock, each Caïna release is designed to be a distinct entity with it’s own palette and mood. Amongst the project’s lyrical themes are English myths and legends, literature, the repudiation of religion and the exultation of the individual.

Enforcer

Classic Chicago Metal indeed, Enforcer along with early Trouble, War Cry and Witchslayer gave Chicago a reputation for birthing some seriously heavy and thick metal during the glory days of the 80’s. Initially a three track demo saw light, followed quickly by an extended five song version in 1984. Until now, that was all that was available to the metal hordes.

Snake Eater is a rock and roll band that is prepared to deliver you the sounds of the apocalypse. Busting out into the Midwest music scene at breakneck speed, Snake Eater has recently released their first 7 song EP entitled “The Rock and Roll Apocalypse” (produced by Aaron Crawford of Flee the Seen). Only a little over a year into their existence, Snake Eater has already amassed a large following in the Kansas City area and surrounding midwest cities.

All The Cold

All The Cold is a Russian ambient / depressive black metal band from Murmansk. The band has two members, “Nordsjel” and “Winter”. They have many split releases and demos but this is just their compilation album which includes their best stuff. The ambient bits make the album worth it, Even if your not a black metal fan you may find this to be pretty good.

Jelonek

This is some pretty neat stuff, Michal Jelonek is a violin specialist who has performed with many orchestras and has some serious classical training. But thats pretty boring right? Moved on to perform with many r'n'b, rock and metal bands then released his own solo progressive rock album. Which may I add, can't stop listening to.

eaststrikewest - wolvves

Eaststrikewest are a British post/alternative rock band. Combined textured post rock soundscapes and upbeat strikes of rhythm, this bands debut should of made it in my top 10 of the year, fantastic, honestly brilliant. Definately worth you downloading even if you don't like post rock.

((Thorlock))

"Think of a hyper stoned and more catchy Orange Goblin and you’ll get what Thorlock is all about. This self-titled release is saturated with enough feel good vibes, (or is that THC) distortion and psychedeladroning to keep even the most hard edged Eyehategod/High On Fire fan enthralled." - E-Metalspace

MeatPieEye's Magical Metal List Of Top 10 09 Albums

Well, 2009 has pumped out a lot of metal albums. The big name bands usualy sucked and the underground bands thrived and got brought to the light. The choices for the top 10 was a hard choice because I dug a lot of this years albums. This whole idea started when Jake told me that we were all going to make a top 10 list becuase we all have different taste in music and it would be cool to compare so without hesitation here is my list of top 2009 albums.

10. The Severed Inception - Inevitable End

This album has a lot of power and perception to it, and is worth a good listen or two.

http://rapidshare.com/files/326401430/The_Severed_Inception.rar

9. Crack The Skye - Mastodon

We all know it's no 'Leviathan' or 'Blood Mountin' but it's still a decent album. Don't get turned off by the site of their long tracks. This album has taken another approach by Mastodon and it's more technical than their other albums.

 8. Dialbolical Figures - Graveworm

When I got this album I wasn't expected too much, but I was wrong this album is quite good in my opinion but that may just be my opinion. The album cover is also one of my favourite album covers ever.

7. Wormwood - Marduk

Marduk is the first black metal band I've ever heard. The first time I heard them I was a little bit scared and wondered why anyone would have a band like this, over time I came to accept and eventually like black metal.

6. Sex, Drugs & Deathmetal - Waco Jesus

Ah yes Waco Jesus, I liked 'The Destruction Of Commercial Scum' quite a bit and I am still undecided about what album is better. But hey it's Waco Jesus !

5. The Great Depression - Trigger The Bloodshed

Some good old death metal that everyone should appreciate.

http://rapidshare.com/files/326383626/The_Great_Depression_-_Trigger_The_Bloodshed.rar

4. Carving Out The Eyes Of God - Goatwhore

This album is very dark, probley Goatwhores best and serves some good death metal. The lyrics are deep and disturbed, the song 'To Mourn And Forever Wander Through Forgotten Doorways' is my favourite track off the album and the lyrics in that song have to be my favourite lyrics of all time, next to 'Raped By Elephants' - Torsofuck but that's a different story altogether, litterally.

3. Agorapocalypse - Agoraphobic Nosebleed

Agorapocalypse is a normal album after they crammed 100+ tracks on a thing called 'Bestial Machinery'. The big surprise is that Agorapocalypse is the most purely musical thing Agoraphobic Nosebleed has ever recorded. This album is most likely going to throw off  fans that were accustomed to 20 second tracks that made it feel like your head is stuck in a giant vice grip.

2. Oracles - Fleshgod Apocalypse

This should be the metal album of the year and probley is for many people out there. But I have another album on my mind that surpasses this album on my list.

1. Lust In Space - Gwar

That's right folks. I love this album, every track off it has 90+ plays and still rising. There's something about that album that gave me an urge to play it over and over and over again. It's like ecstacy to the ears.

The Ciem Show

Chris from The Ciem Show sent me a mail. I love it when bands do that. *hint hint*

We're called The Ciem Show and the release is called "Only To Exist In Dreams - Promo 2009". If this helps any, it's recommended for fans of Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, Arcturus, Ulver. I'd classify it as Progressive / Experimental Metal. Maybe Dark Progressive Metal? Hell I don't even know! Maybe you can come up with something based on how you think it sounds!

I think it sounds good. Do you need any other reasons to listen to it? To be honest I don't listen to the bands he mentioned, so any comparisons or similarities are lost on me, All i know is that this is a solid album well worth a listen!
